The Commonwealth Hotel was built in 1901 to provide hot meals, cold beer and a comfortable bed to the city of Townsville.

Although over a century has passed, not much has changed. We’re proud to be one of Townsville’s finest locally owned and operated community pubs.

We firmly believe that The Commonwealth is more than a pub – it’s a meeting place, with space for the kids to run around while you have a beer with your mates. A place where you can have a great meal, or pop in for a cuppa on the way to work. A place to have a great time with good company.
